Red Dead Redemption 2, which was set to release this fall, is now being pushed back until spring 2018 according to an official post by Rockstar.
The post apologizes to fans for the delay explaining, “some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans”, as well as teasing new screenshots. This news arrives just weeks before its expected gameplay reveal at E3 next month.
“We are sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready”, Rockstar have said.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is rumoured to be a continuation from the events of the first, although details are still scarce. Rockstar have also partnered with Sony for exclusive timed DLC content specifically for PlayStation 4 owners upon its release.
